Survival is important for organism hence they need to adapt in their environment through the process of evolution and of these organisms are the succulents. Water is highly essential in order for plants to thrive however there are some areas in the world wherein rainfall is limited hence plants living with such condition needs specialized tissues that can store water for a long period of time. And so some plants evolve and was able to tolerate scarcity of water and these plants are called succulents but of course there are some plants that has a different physiological structure but still under them. Those plants that has a different structure in their leaves are still considered succulents because they can resist and tolerate drought.
There are lots of succulent plants that can grown indoors but of course they can also be placed in warm areas or even in rocky areas. People seems to be interested with these plants not because of their flowers but in their ability to tolerate stress compared to those plants which requires too much attention furthermore they have unique foliage. Furthermore, it would be a good thing to put them in warm spot or areas since they are naturally grown in sunny surroundings. Make sure that the part that is hit by sunlight is not concentrated on one side of the plant only, it should be distributed across all sides of plants hence you must change its position each day. This way plants are able to grow equally and its appearance will not be ruined.
Although these plants are fond of warm temperature they can also be ideal for cool temperature during winter. In addition, it somehow resembles that natural climate that they experience in a natural setting. It is also a good thing to bring them outside during summer season or when the weather is sunny. Furthermore, if the plants have delicate leaves then the best thing to do is putting them indoors because there is a high chance of rain damage. If you are really determined to place them outside then the best option is to set up a glass or plastic protection to it.
The ability to store significant amount of water makes them ideal for people with busy schedules however it is also necessary to consider their natural environment. The usual time when they develop is through rainy season and after it they only receive small amount of water. With the aforementioned concept, try to water your plants in accordance with it. Too much of water is also not a good thing because this might rot the roots, as much as possible try to use enough amount of water that will prevent them from dying out. For those with fragile leaves water them using a base tray, place the pot for quite some time just enough for the water to touch the tip of the potting mix. If you have a busy schedule then it would be best to water them using a watering pot with narrow holes.
